I’m Dr. Dongjin Shin, a prosthodontist specializing in implant, aesthetic, and reconstructive dentistry, proudly serving patients throughout the greater DMV area, including North Bethesda, Maryland, and Vienna, Virginia. My passion is to change lives through dentistry restoring confidence, function, and natural beauty to every smile I treat.
I completed high school in Pennsylvania before attending Brandeis University in Boston, where I earned my degree in Economics and Biology. During my studies, I developed a deep appreciation for how dentistry harmonizes art and science. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling. A profession where creativity, precision, and compassion come together.
This realization inspired me to change my career path and pursue a Master’s in Medical Sciences at Boston University, which led me to continue my journey into dental school at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2014.
After practicing as a general dentist in the Boston area, my growing fascination with complex restorative and aesthetic dentistry led me to specialize in Prosthodontics at Columbia University in New York, where I completed a three-year residency program in 2018.
Following several rewarding years practicing in New York City, my family and I relocated to the DMV area during the pandemic and founded our first dental practice in North Bethesda in 2022. Since then, our practice has expanded to two thriving locations with a team of five doctors, offering comprehensive care including prosthodontics, implant surgery, endodontics, oral surgery, and hygiene services.
Driven by innovation and precision, I founded Prodigi Dental Laboratory, a fully digital dental lab that collaborates with talented specialists and clinicians to create high-quality ceramic restorations and digital surgical guides. Our lab and practice share one unified goal, to elevate the standard of care through digital workflow integration, artistry, and clinical excellence.
Beyond clinical practice, I am passionate about education and mentorship. I lecture locally, nationally, and internationally, including at Columbia University, the University of Maryland, and international university settings, as well as at professional conferences around the world. My mission is not only to transform patients’ lives through dentistry but also to empower other clinicians to elevate their care through continuing education, collaboration, and innovation.
Hi, I’m Dr. Ana Kim, a board-eligible endodontist proudly serving patients throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. My passion is helping people find relief from dental pain, save their natural teeth, and feel genuinely cared for every step of the way.
I began my education at Carnegie Mellon University, where I double-majored in Fine Arts and Biology, a combination that taught me how science and creativity can work beautifully together. I went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014, then practiced as a general dentist in Connecticut and New York before completing my Endodontic Residency at Rutgers University.
Today, my practice focuses on root canal therapy, apical microsurgery, and same-day emergency dental care for patients experiencing pain or infection. My goal is to make every treatment as gentle, precise, and stress-free as possible by combining expertise with the latest advancements in technology.
To deliver the highest quality care, I use the GentleWave® system for a more thorough and gentle root canal cleaning, 3D cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging for detailed and accurate diagnosis, and a Zeiss surgical microscope for enhanced precision during every procedure. These technologies allow me to deliver exceptional results while keeping your comfort and long-term oral health my top priority.
In addition to treating patients, I am an international lecturer in dentistry, educating other dentists on advanced endodontic techniques and the integration of modern technology into patient care. I truly believe in advancing the field by sharing knowledge and helping others elevate the level of care they provide.
When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my family, especially my young daughter. We enjoy playing tennis, skiing in the winter, and finding new hobbies together. I also enjoy drawing and painting, a creative outlet that connects back to my fine arts roots. As much as I love my work, I’m always striving for balance, to be a strong leader for my team, a caring mentor for other dental professionals, and a loving mother at home.
