Same-Day Emergency Care
Why Is Same-Day Emergency Care So Important?
Immediate treatment prevents complications, reduces recovery time, and often saves teeth that might otherwise be lost.
Dental emergencies don't follow a schedule; they disrupt your life without warning, causing pain, anxiety, and potential long-term consequences if not addressed promptly.

Whether you're experiencing severe toothache, a broken tooth, lost filling or crown, dental trauma from an accident, or sudden swelling, timely intervention makes a critical difference in both immediate comfort and long-term outcomes.
Unlike general dental practices with limited emergency availability, our team prioritizes same-day care for patients in distress. As specialists, Dr. Ana Kim (Endodontist) and Dr. DJ Shin (Prosthodontist) provide advanced expertise rarely available for emergency situations. This specialized care can mean the difference between saving or losing a tooth, particularly in cases of dental trauma or severe infection.
Our comprehensive emergency protocol includes immediate pain relief, accurate diagnosis using advanced technology like 3D CBCT imaging and microscope examination, and definitive treatment that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term dental health.
We maintain flexible scheduling specifically for emergency patients, ensuring you won't have to suffer through days of pain waiting for an appointment.
Unlike general practices that might only offer temporary relief, our emergency care is provided by specialists equipped to deliver definitive treatment on the same day.
Dr. Kim, our endodontist, excels at saving damaged or infected teeth through advanced techniques like GentleWave technology, while Dr. Shin, our prosthodontist, can repair or replace broken restorations immediately. We offer direct communication with our doctors through call/text for true dental concierge service, extended hours (8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday-Friday) to accommodate emergencies, and dedicated emergency appointment slots each day.
Our state-of-the-art technology, including 3D CBCT imaging and the Zeiss Extaro 300 microscope, allows for precise diagnosis even in complex cases, while our comprehensive approach means you won't need referrals to multiple offices for complete emergency care – we provide the full spectrum of treatments under one roof.
Benefits of Professional Same-Day Emergency Care

If you're experiencing any of these situations, contact us immediately rather than waiting or trying to manage the pain yourself. Our endodontist Dr. Kim specializes in saving infected or traumatized teeth, while prosthodontist Dr. Shin can address broken restorations and damaged teeth.
Even if you're unsure whether your situation constitutes an emergency, we encourage you to call us. Our experienced team can help assess the urgency of your condition and provide guidance.
Remember that prompt treatment for dental emergencies often means the difference between saving or losing a tooth, especially in cases of trauma or infection.
When you call with an emergency, our front desk team will ask specific questions to assess the severity of your situation and schedule you appropriately.
For particularly urgent cases like knocked-out teeth or severe infections with facial swelling, we make every effort to see you immediately, as these conditions are time-sensitive and require prompt intervention.
Even if you're a new patient, we'll accommodate your emergency needs without delays.
If you experience a dental emergency outside of office hours, our answering service connects you with our on-call specialist who can provide guidance until you can be seen in the office.
Our goal is to eliminate unnecessary waiting and suffering by providing prompt, effective care when you need it most.

Our specialists excel at providing gentle, effective pain management, even for patients with acute dental emergencies. Before beginning any treatment, we ensure you're completely comfortable using precise anesthetic techniques. Many patients are surprised by how painless modern dental procedures can be, even in emergency situations.
For anxious patients or those with acute pain, we offer additional options including nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and conscious sedation to create a relaxed, comfortable experience. During emergency treatment, you'll appreciate our comfort amenities including noise-cancelling headphones with music, warm blankets, and the option to watch Netflix.
Advanced technologies like our GentleWave system for root canal procedures not only improve outcomes but significantly reduce post-operative discomfort. After treatment, we provide detailed instructions for pain management at home and contact information should you have concerns during recovery.
Most patients report that the relief provided by addressing the underlying problem far outweighs any temporary discomfort from the procedure itself.
For patients with dental insurance, we accept most major PPO plans and will submit claims on your behalf, maximizing your benefits for emergency services. Many insurance plans provide better coverage for emergency care, and we'll help you understand your specific benefits. For uninsured patients, we offer our Essential Smile Plan membership program that provides discounts on emergency services.
We also provide multiple financing options including TuaPay, Cherry, Lending Club, and CareCredit. Many with interest-free payment plans that can be arranged immediately for emergency treatment. Our priority is providing the care you need without delay, regardless of your financial situation.
We work with each patient individually to find payment solutions that make emergency care accessible and affordable. Remember that delaying emergency treatment due to financial concerns often leads to more extensive and costly procedures later, so prompt intervention is both medically and financially beneficial.

If the tooth is dirty, gently rinse it with milk or saline solution—never scrub the tooth or use soap, as this can damage vital cells needed for reattachment. If possible, try to reinsert the tooth into its socket, holding it in place with gentle pressure or by biting on a clean cloth.
If you can't reinsert it, keep the tooth moist at all times by placing it in milk, saline solution, or saliva (held in your cheek) and not water, which can damage the root cells.
Then call our office immediately and explain the situation so we can prepare for your arrival. Dr. Kim, our endodontist, specializes in dental trauma and can provide the expert care needed to save your tooth.
The best chance for successful reimplantation occurs when treatment happens within 30-60 minutes of the injury. Even if several hours have passed, bring the tooth with you as reimplantation may still be possible.
After treatment, Dr. Kim will provide specialized follow-up care to monitor healing and address any complications, often coordinating with Dr. Shin if restorative work is needed to complete your treatment.
