What is Full Mouth Rehabilitation?

Full Mouth Rehabilitation (FMR) is like hitting the reset button on a patient’s entire mouth. It’s a comprehensive, all-in approach to restoring function, aesthetics, and overall oral health. Think of it as rebuilding a house. Foundation, framework, and all the finishing touches except in this case, the “house” is the patient’s teeth, gums, bite, and jaw function.

Full mouth rehab is not just a smile makeover. It’s a functional and structural overhaul that improves both health and aesthetics. It requires a well-planned approach, often involving multiple disciplines of dentistry. Think of it as dentistry’s version of a complete home renovation, but with long-lasting results that improve quality of life.

Full mouth rehabilitation usually means you are getting major work done on most and if not all of your teeth. Anything from fixing cavities and putting crowns on every tooth to removing all the teeth and replacing them with implants and a fixed denture. Since every dentist has a different level of training and their own way of doing things, it is not unusual to walk into a few offices and come out with completely different treatment plans.

That’s why choosing the right provider is critical. You need a dentist with not just basic skills, but advanced, specialized training — ideally someone who has completed a multi-year accredited residency program, not just a series of weekend continuing education courses. Prosthodontists, for example, undergo extensive full-time training specifically in managing complex cases like full mouth rehabilitation, including complications that may arise.

These cases are rarely straightforward. Years of bite issues or muscle memory from poor oral habits can affect outcomes. It's not uncommon for temporaries to fracture during the process. What matters most is whether your provider not only knows how to perform the treatment but also how to manage complications effectively. Anyone can extract teeth with the right tools. The real skill lies in understanding and addressing the unpredictable challenges that come with comprehensive care.

Unfortunately, some practices default to full extractions and “All-on-X” implant solutions even when teeth could be saved. While this may be the right option for certain patients, it is not always the ideal treatment. At our practice, we take a more conservative and thoughtful approach. With multiple in-house specialists and advanced expertise, we prioritize preserving your natural teeth whenever possible because patient care always comes first.

How Long Does It Take For A Full Mouth Rehabilitation To Complete?

Typically, FMR is not a quick fix. It may take months to over a year, depending on complexity and if dentition is involved. You’re not just doing one procedure; you’re strategically rebuilding the entire oral system to reset the bite with teeth and muscle involved in chewing.

Smile in a day is possible with All-on-X implant supported denture procedure. We always attempt to save teeth; however, if due to any reasons we cannot save the teeth, often it is a more predictable and affordable option to restore function and esthetics.

Say Goodbye to Dentures: Why All-on-X Dental Implants Are a Game-Changer for Your Smile!

What are Veneers?

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. Think of them as contact lenses for teeth. They’re ultra-thin but make a huge impact.
Depending on the severity and predictability, no-prep minimally invasive veneers are possible!

Veneers are aesthetic game-changers, perfect for patients who want a straighter, whiter, and more symmetrical smile without braces or whitening alone. With proper care, they can last over a decade and keep patients feeling confident.

What type of material do we use?
We use porcelain veneers which is the gold standard in smile enhancement! They’re exceptionally durable, stain-resistant, and highly aesthetic. Custom-crafted in a lab for a precise fit, they can last 10-15+ years with proper care.

We have an in-house technician who allows more customized care for the patients to be able to communicate in person the shade and shape of the teeth in cooperation with the clinical and laboratory team and your input in the hand made porcelain touches.

What is a Bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the adjacent natural teeth or implants. Think of it as a road bridge—it spans the gap where teeth are missing, restoring function and aesthetics.

A dental bridge is a reliable, long-term solution for missing teeth, offering a natural look and full functionality.

Types of Dental Bridges:
1. Traditional Bridge – Uses crowns on natural teeth adjacent to the missing tooth to support the false tooth (pontic) in between.
2. Implant-Supported Bridge – Anchored to dental implants instead of natural teeth
3. Maryland Bridge – Uses metal or porcelain wings bonded to the back of adjacent teeth (minimally invasive).
